I can’t fight with all these

1 Samuel 17:38-40

David had just volunteered to fight against Goliath, so king Saul armed him with his armor, bronze helmet, a coat of armor and a sword.

After being fully dressed in Saul’s armor, David realized he could not walk. He said to king Saul “I can’t fight with all these.” David knew if he that in order to win the battle against Goliath, he would need to remove Saul’s armor. David knew victory was not in sight if he goes into the battle against Goliath in Saul’s armor. He knew that victory was not guaranteed, so he removed Saul’s armor.

David couldn’t fight with the armor of the enemy. Same with you, you can’t win the battle against the enemy using the enemy’s armor.

The enemies armor are; Malice, bitterness, charms, anger, hatred, lust, envy, greediness, wickedness, strife, Jealousy, stealing, deception, prostitution, fighting, abusive, etc.

You can’t use the armor of the enemy to win a battle.

You can’t patronize: herbalist, Islamic priest, Indian temple, cult grand master,… and win the battle against the enemy.

The enemies armor can’t give a true child of God victory. It’s the enemy’s weapon and they’re very good at it. If you want God to take charge of your battle, you will first of all do away with the enemy’s armor. God won’t go into the battle with you, until you do away with the enemy’s armor.

You can’t hide under the banner of the enemy and at the same time expecting divine intervention. Help from above won’t come until you pull off the armor of the enemy.

What did David do? He first of all removed the enemy’s armor and took his shepherd’s stick and finally picked five smooth Stones.

How to win life’s battle

To win life’s battle, you will need to put on the armor of God. Ephesians 6:14-17 reveals the five stones that David picked. To win you also need these five stones.

1. Truthfulness

You must be truthful in all situations and at all times. Be truthful with your actions and inactions. Be truthful with the words of your mouth. Lying and deception is an armor of the devil. Devil is the father of all liars.

2. Righteousness

You must live a righteous and a holy life. Do away with anything that is sinful, ungodly and unholy. Be righteous in all your dealings and endeavors.

3. Evangelism

Let everything you have, preach the gospel of Jesus. Use your beauty, knowledge, time, energy, money, character, behavior, .. etc to win souls for Christ. Let your actions and inactions speak about the love of Christ.

• Use your Facebook, WhatsApp, messenger, Instagram accounts to win souls for Christ.
• Do you know how to sing? Use it to win souls for Jesus
• Do you know to counsel and advise? Use it to win souls for Jesus
• Do you know how to act comedy or drama? Use it to win souls for Jesus
• Use your position, influence, spiritual power, connections, grace, etc to win souls for Jesus.

4. Salvation

Do not allow anything to steal your salvation. Do not backslide. Do not go back to the world. Don’t bow to idols. There are so many idols that people are worshipping and these are taking the place of Jesus in their heart. Examples of these idols are; money, wife, husband, car, children, property, position, phone, Facebook, television, game, football, etc. Nothing must take the place of God in your heart.

5. Faith

We must always walk in faith. We must always depend on God for everything. Our faith in God must not be shaken. In minor and major things, we must put faith in God.

David also went with the Shepherd’s stick. This is the word of God. It’s the sword which the spirit gives us. We can’t do without the word of God. It’s from the word of God that we receive instructions and directions.

However, if you have not given your life to Jesus, you can’t remove all the enemy’s armor. You need to surrender your life to Jesus. Are you ready? Confess the following: Lord Jesus, I come to you as a sinner. Forgive me of all my sins. I belief you came to save me. I accept you as my Lord and savior. Daddy please write my name in the book of life. Thank you Jesus. Amen.

I pray, God will set on fire all the armor of the enemy you are wearing in Jesus name.
