No eternal security

Eternal security No eternal security

Romans 11:22 “Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.”

There are many deceptions on the concept of eternal security, and the false notion of “Once saved, always saved.” It is not scriptural, and has no root from the inspired written Word of the Almighty God. There is nothing like once saved, forever saved. Many people have been misled through this fallacy, and have lost eternity with God because they were deceived by those messengers of Satan who think they can enter heaven through the vain assurance of their own carnal mind.

Remember the children of Israel how that the LORD in his mighty power brought them out from the house of bondage to the promised land. But before they came to the promised land, they disbelieved God despite having seen the naked demonstration of the mighty power of the Almighty God. Hence, they could not enter into his rest because of their unbelief. St Jude wrote, “I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.”

Additionally, Joshua the man of God told the children of Israel at the time of his departure that “If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.” A big solemn warning to him that thinketh he standeth to take heed lest he fall.

The Salvation the LORD gives is free grace not of our own favour, nonetheless, we may fall short of it if we do not give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard. Some say the gift of God is eternal. Yes, the gift of God is eternal life. But I want to tell you that God’s salvation is of three terms.

  1. Justification by faith: you have been saved from the penalty of sin.
  2. Sanctification by faith: you are being saved from the power of sin.
  3. Glorification through faith: you will be saved from the presence of sin.

These wonderful promises entitled in the glorious salvation of God go through till the final revelation of grace. That’s why our Lord said, “He that shall endure to the very end, the same shall be saved.” This tells us that there’s no eternal security. Judas was saved, but was lost. Demas was saved, but was lost.

Many more of them who began but could not enter heaven. Sin shall never enter heaven: for there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination or maketh a lie.

At a time the disciples of Christ saw the great cost of heaven, they asked our Lord, Are there few that be saved? and our Lord answered them, Strive to enter in.”He further said, “No man having put his hands to the plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God.” But to keep himself unspotted from the world in sanctification: this is true religion.

Let no man deceive. The foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal. The LORD knoweth them that are his, and let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Sin will be judged, both the one done ignorantly or deliberately. The Bible says, “The soul that sinneth it shall die.”

Therefore, my beloved brethren, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.

For the time is come that judgement must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end of them that one not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore, beloved seeing that ye look for an eternity in heaven with God and his Christ, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. For without holiness, no man shall see the Lord.
