The Battle of Two Titans-1

The Battle of Two Titans - 1

The Battle of Two Titans-1

“For every battle of the warriors is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire” Isaiah 9: 5.

This message and teaching is talking about two tactical strong powerful warriors and champions with same spiritual strength, energy power, war plans, tactics, strategies and a track record of knowledge and experience in warfares. These are the two Maestros of life. Jesus, the Grand war commander and Master of the Kingdom of light.

And the Devil, the master and strong man of the kingdom of Darkness who had been in a superiority and supremacy battle of who controls and rules over man since the creation and fall of man in the Garden of Eden by sin until Christ came and poured out His soul unto death in order to outwit him and set man free from his iron hand of death and destruction Isaiah 53: 12.

This we all know that when two elephants fight only the grass suffer. That’s why elephants and lions don’t have a king or heads because they operate and maintain the same level of power and strength which makes them independent and at liberty with each other. But in a fight where there is no victor nor vanquished, who then is the king?

Amongst two equals, there must be a head. If there’s no victory in any title challenge how can a champion emerge? So, in every titanic battle of two warring factions there must surely be a winner who would exercise dominion power over the loser so that there will be no other parallel power or kingdom that could live to fight and contend after who heads or reigns over the other when there is no clear winner.

Like what happened when the two angelic forces of God and Satan clashed in the atmospheric air of heaven over who controls the Seat of Power in heaven, that led to the total breakdown and destruction of every thing God made and created that made the mountains, moon, hills, sun, stars and all the fruitful places of the Earth to depart. And the Earth was without form and void and darkness filled the deep, that led to the creation of human world by God.

“I be held the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, they had no light. I be held the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. I be held, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. I be held, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger” Jeremiah 4: 23 – 26, Genesis 1: 2.

In the battle of two tacticians, the easy way to win it is to know the weakness or weak point of your opponent and use that to bring him down, if not you may not win him. Thus, if you’re in a titanic battle or warfare with the Devil, what you have to do first, is to find out those weapons he doesn’t have and possess, then you use them to spoil his war plans and launch a counter offensive attack against him that before you know it, he’s already on the earth sprawling and gnashing his teeth.

Before he could regain strength to carry out a counter attack against you, his war plans, tactics and strategies have become useless, impotent and counter productive that he could have no other option than to flee and surrender under the superior fire of your powerful force. But the Christian warriors of today don’t know this. They don’t know there are certain weapons someone in a spiritual warfare needs to acquire and before going into the battlefield.

Instead, they think it’s only about word declaration, confession of the name of Jesus, exercise of faith and belief in Christ. They do not know we have to put on the whole armour of God. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness and spiritual wickedness in the high places.

Therefore, for us to win a war of this magnitude we must put on the whole amour of God knowing that the weapons of our warfare are not canal, but mighty through God in pulling down every strong hold. And casting down every imagination and every high thing that exalts itself above the knowledge of Christ. But whereby this is not done, there’s nothing God can do about it. Because we did not apply our hearts unto wisdom.

And it’s by this same weapons that Jesus, Michael, the angels and David the sweet psalmist of Israel used to overcome the evil one when they clashed with him. Let us therefore look at these weapons! But before we do that, we shall first split the message into five main parts for proper understanding.

JESUS AND SATAN’S CLASHES

Since the birth of Christ into the world and to the time of His ascension into heaven, the Devil had clashed with Him not less than twenty to twenty one times. And in all these clashes Jesus had been having upper hand over and against him. In the Temple, when they met at the Boyhood Age of Christ, Jesus overcame him. In the Garden of Gethsemane, He overcame him. On the Cross He overcame him. In Hell He overcame him. In the wilderness He overcame him. And in the open air of heaven when He led captivity captive in His ascension day on high He overcame him, triumphing over him in it, Psalm 68:18, Ephesians 4: 8.

Now let’s see the weapons Jesus used to overcome this evil emperor of terror in all these battles He had with him.

 1.  In the Temple: He used the weapon of SUBMISSION to overcome him.

“And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why have you thus dealt with us? Behold, your father and I have sought thee sorrowing. How is it that you sought me? Know ye not that I must be about my Father’s business? And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was SUBJECT unto them” Luke 2: 48-51.

  2. In Suffering: He overcame the wicked master of evil with the fruit of PATIENCE.

“Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? Luk 24: 25-26.

3.  In Hatred and Persecution: He used the weapons of LOVE AND GOODNESS to overcome the Devil here.

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing GOOD, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him” Acts 10: 38.

 4.  In Character, Attitude and Lifestyle: He used the power of the spirit of HOLINESS as a weapon to over come him.

“Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of HOLINESS, by the resurrection from the dead” Romans 1: 3-4.

   5.  In Riches: He used the weapon of GODLY CONTENTMENT to overcome the Devil.

“And having food and raiment let us be therewith CONTENT” 1 Timothy 6: 8.

6.  In Power and Worship: He used the weapon of the KNOWLEDGE OF THE WORD AND HIS VERY PERSON to overcome him.

“Again the devil took him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and the devil said unto him, all this POWER will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If you will therefore WORSHIP me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, thou shall WORSHIP the Lord thy God, and him only shall thou serve. Then the devil left him, and, behold, the angels came and ministered unto him” Luke 4: 5-8, Matthew 4: 8- .11.

7. In Hunger: He used the weapon of GODLY SATISFACTION to overcome him.

“And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hunger. And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thou be the Son of God, command these stones to be bread. But Jesus answered him and said, It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God” Matthew 4:4.

“In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master eat. But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that you know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another; had any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus said unto them, my meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work” John 4: 31-34.
