Pressing in the way unto holiness

Pressing in the way unto holinessPressing in the way unto holiness

Philipians 3:14 “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

O show me a safe and ready passage to my own country.

The mercy of God has brought you into salvation in Christ, and the grace of God has saved you. God expects you to grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This calls for daily striving.

It’s time to ascend above hindrances, obstacles, and impediments in your way. This is the time to strive for the mastery. How do I strive for the mastery? Every one that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things.

Too much talking should be put aside, to an almost incredible degree, rigorous self denial in food, sleep, and every other sensual indulgence; even your thoughts and actions should be under control. It doesn’t stop there, you have to lay aside, the besetting sins. You cannot carry a heavy load to climb to higher ground. “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD?”

You must drop those secret sins, those gossips, those malice, those hatred, that unforgiving spirit, wickedness, blasphemy, conspiracy, slashing one another behind, pride, strife, vain glory, etc. All these are impediments and spiritual locusts that eat up the vigour of the soul in possessing true experience of holiness.

The LORD has brought this to you, and he expects you to come back to Calvary. You’ve long been in that same state since you were converted, its time to climb unto mount Sion.

I admonish you in the name of the LORD, to forget whatever you’ve been in the past. Today, you can choose to make a difference by praying and consecrating yourself afresh to the LORD, so that you will become holiness. And I believe God, it shall be, even as he has promised in his word.

And this is the goal as we press on to higher ground: HOLINESS unto the LORD now and forever.
