…Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light (Ephesians 5:14, NLT).
Yesterday, we started looking at this topic. We will continue from where we stopped. We have six more departments to look at. The departments we shall consider today in the Faculty of Deadness are:
4.DSS (Department of Spiritual Sleepers): According to our Bible text of today (Eph. 5:14), we can see clearly that until one awakes from spiritual sleep, he is as good as dead. And without leaving this awful state, he cannot receive light from Christ with which to overcome spiritual darkness. Friend, if you are sleeping spiritually, it’s high time you woke up to spiritual realities because spiritual sleep is dangerous indeed!
5. DDR (Department of Dishonest Riches): Prov. 21:6 says, ‘Securing treasures by a lying tongue is a vapour driven to and fro; those who seek them seek death’ (AMP). There are ‘Christians’ who cut corners and involve in shady deals. There are those who trade their integrity for hard currencies. When it comes to money issue, many of us quickly forget about integrity. You need to double-check if you are actually not a student of this department.
6.DSS (Department of Satanic Spiritualists): Listen to Isaiah 8:19 (NLT); ‘So why are you trying to find out the future by consulting mediums and psychics? Do not listen to their whisperings and mutterings. Can the living find out the future from the dead? Why not ask your God?’ Anyone who seeks spiritual mediums in the name of seeking help has unfortunately lost the life of Christ and has died spiritually. He belongs to the realm of Satan and death. How sad! I pray, may divine grace restore you if you have strayed from the Light of life into the darkness of death. In Jesus name!
