Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there

Take your burden to the Lord and leave it thereTake your burden to the Lord and leave it there

Psalm 65:2 “O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.”

My brothers and sisters, the world in which we live today is full of troubles and sufferings. The children of darkness are never tired of inflicting afflictions on the children of light. Our Lord already told us in John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcomed the world.”

The sea may rage, the wind my blow, the tempest might roar, the water might seem to be sinking into the boat; Instead of crying, and staggering at the promise of God like the people of the world who have no hope; pray! Remember Psalm 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Therefore, take your burden to the Lord. When you meet with trial, do you think to pray? By his love and dying merit, do you claim the Holy Spirit, as your guide and stay? O how praying rests the weary! Prayer will change the night to day; so when life seems dark and dreary, don’t forget to pray!

Burdens are lifted at Calvary. O come with the load of your sin, O come with your sicknesses, O come with all your afflictions, O come with all your struggles, O come with all your sinful addictions, O come to the Jesus, and he shall give you rest.

All your anxieties, all your cares, bring to the mercy seat, leave them there; never a burden He cannot bear, never a friend like Jesus! He will take care of you. There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus, no not one. Worry no more my beloved brethren, but stand fast in the Lord, and fix your eyes on Jesus, for he knows all about your sorrows, he will guide you till the day is dawn. Trust him, cause he is the anchor of our souls, and soon beyond life troubled sea we shall meet him.

If you give place to worry, it will paralyze your faith which has the ability to change all situations. Worry will make you like hopeless orphans, worry will make you frustrated, but they that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, that cannot be moved, but abideth forever!

Ne…ver give up,…

Ne…ver give up,…

Never give up to thy sorrows,

Jesus will bid them depart;

Trust… in the Lord,…

Trust… in the Lord,…

Sing when your trials are greatest,

Trust in the Lord and take heart.
