The point of no return

The point of no returnThe point of no return

Acts 21:13 “Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

The LORD Jesus Christ gave his all for you, what have you given for him? The saints of old, and heroes of faith suffered so much because of the name of Christ, and some of them were killed because of the faith. And their persecutors left their bodies to rot as an example for others. But the church kept right on growing, watered by the blood of these precious saints. They were all forced to make a choice. But they choose to believe in the words of Jesus Christ and live forever, regardless the martyrdom.

Others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; but not accepting deliverance that they might obtain a better resurrection.

Brethren, have you reached the point of no return? Have you bid farewell to the way of the world? Have you said to the LORD, Lord, irrespective of your chastisement, I will follow you? Have you brushed off all the impediments in your way, and burnt all the bridges behind you to pledge allegiance to Christ?

The people draw you, friends pull you, the people push you this way, that way, and you say, I don’t know what do anymore. What you have to do is that you are crucified unto the world, and the world is crucified to you. Then you bid farewell to the way of the world to walk in it no more; for your LORD says come, and you seek your home, where he waits at the open door.

By the grace of God, I have set my feet on God’s road, and never will I roam anymore.
