Transparent holiness of rapturable saints

1 Thessalonians 2:10 “Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe.”

Here is Apostle Paul talking to the Thessalonians, saying, that when we came to your city to teach and to preach the word of God, you were witnesses of our conversation and disposition among you that believed. Who were the we he was referring to? In chapter 1:1, Paul, Silvanus, and Timotheus.

Their human eyes could only see the external conduct. But the internal or spiritual, they could not but God was a witness. More so, think about the holiness of these men.

Job for instance was a perfect man whom God Himself bore witness of his righteousness. God that could see through and through of this man, the manner as well as the motives, the actions as well as the attitude, could say, “a perfect man: one that feareth God and escheweth evil.” Don’t you think if there was any fault in him, Satan, the accuser of the brethren would have been very quick to point it out?

How about Daniel. Think about the holiness of Daniel. We know the story. But we can take a lesson from here: “And when the king came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel and said, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually able to deliver thee from the lions?”

And here came the voice of that holy man (holiness is good!)” Then Daniel said unto the king, My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lion’s mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.” Please observe here, before God (internal) before thee O king (external).

Here is what tells us the kind of life that Bible believers lived:

Transparent holiness of heart and life. If God could do it for them, he can do same for us. This holiness of heart, and life, purity of heart and life, the whiteness of the soul, chaste conversations, pure motives and clean intentions, God will give it to us. This differentiates us as perculiar people unto the LORD, and makes us fit for heaven. Holiness is what gives us the confidence toward God, and makes us candidates for the Rapture. So I ask again, are you holy?

It is written, “without holiness, no man shall see the Lord.”
