True Christians: The epitome of godliness

True Christians: The epitome of godlinessTrue Christians: The epitome of godliness

Mathew 5:14 “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.”

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people.” Christians are representatives of Christ here on earth, and should live the life that the Master would have lived if he were still on earth. The Christian is the express image of Christ, and the glory and holiness of Christ should show forth in his life to the world.

Characteristics of Christians

  • The Christians are walking Bibles, and by their lives, they live out the scriptures to the gentiles around them.
  • The Christians maintain their integrity in their day to day disposition, and will never allow biblical reputation to be thrown into the mud.
  • The christians shine as light in the midst of this crooked and perverse nation.
  • The Christians are enveloped by love, and because the heart is saturated by love, there is no room for sin.
  • The Christians are not like the Pharisees, there’s no hypocrisy in their lives. They are holy, and true to the call, with transparent evidence of scriptural living.
  • The Christians take God’s word with utmost diligence, and they study it day and night that they might observe to do according to all that is written therein. They dig out, and unravel the mysteries of godliness, and manifest it to the world by their lives in their places of work, schools, homes, towns, communities, etc.
  • The Christians are not religious, rather they practice righteousness. It is seen in them not by sounding trumpet in the streets, but walking and working it out to the glory and praise of God.

Christianity is wonderful. It is a heavenly life on earth. There are three distinct characteristics of true Christians.

  1. Holiness
  2. Happiness and
  3. Humility
  • The Christians are not conscious of the material gains and benefits of this present life, because they have a home beyond the blues with foundations not made with hands. They desire a city whose maker is God.
  • The Christians are known everywhere not by their shouting, not by their charisma, not by their rhema, not by speaking in tongues, not by sanctimonious walking, but by the visible regeneration of the new birth which are sanctification and holiness unto God and perfect perpetual love for God.
  • The Christans love all around them no matter what race they may be.
  • The Christians are always concerned about how to daily show forth the praises of God in this corrupt and perverse generation.

Ultimately, as these Christians sojourn in this world, and do all they can, they will never fail to tell the world by their lifestyle, dressing, singing, eating, thinking, interacting, sleeping, preaching, writing that they follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
