All of a sudden

All of a sudden All of a sudden

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

The return of our Lord is imminent, and as such, calls Christians to watch and pray lest at any time their hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon them unaware.

Christ in answer to the question his disciples asked him regarding the time of the destruction of the temple and Jerusalem, and the end of age, told them what and what will precede the taking over of Jerusalem, but as to the end of time he said, “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Many people who claim to be Christians are living carelessly without eternity in view. For as a snare, shall it come on all that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Therefore, as sojourners and pilgrims in this land, we desire a better country, and have our eyes fixed on it, let us watch and pray, lest that day come on us as a thief in the night.

At home watch and pray, in the school watch and pray, in the place of work watch and pray, anywhere, anytime, watch and pray that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Jesus is coming soon! Morning, or night, or noon, many will meet their doom, the trumpet will sound; all of the dead shall rise, righteous meet in the sky, going where no one dies, heavenward bound. And those who are chasing shadows, and the mirage of life, living their lives with expediency, running after money like dogs, intoxicated by fleshly and worldly pleasure, may miss the rapture.

Brethren beloved, stand fast in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Gird up the loins of your mind, and be sober and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

He will say, “Come home, come home is supper time! we are going home at last.” And some sweet day when all of life is over, we shall fly away to glory. To be among the elect as a Christian that will join in the catching away of the bride of the Lamb. I urge you to follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
