Transformed

TransformedTransformed

‘But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image…’ (II Corinthians 3:18 NKJV).

When Moses was up on the mountain with the Lord forty days and forty nights, he received the Ten Commandments on stone tablets. When the Lord was through with him, Moses came down the mountain carrying those stone tablets with him. But he wasn’t aware his face glowed radiantly. His face was so radiant that the children of Israel were afraid to come near him. He had to put a veil over his face.

Moses’ face glowed with God’s glory because He had been with God and had seen Him face to face. And the Bible says in our Opening Text today that if we continue to behold the glory of the Lord, we will also be transformed into the same image. In other words we become what we continually behold.

We become like the person we spend the best of our time with. Do you set Godly things before your face or things that grieve His Holy Spirit? A lot of people who want to experience the presence of God in their lives couldn’t achieve it because some other things take the bulk of their time.

In fact, some people have concluded that they will never become as transformed as they desire to be. The reason for this is that they always find themselves falling short of God’s expectations. The truth is that our mere will or wish cannot subdue our carnal dispositions.

Until we learn to spend quality time beholding the glory of the Lord in studying and meditation on God’s word, we won’t be transformed into His image. Wanting to be like Him without spending regular time in His presence will lead to frustration instead of transformation.

How long do you stay in prayer every day? For how long do you study God’s word every day? If you spend enough time in God’s presence, it will produce enough transformation in you that can withstand any temptation or attack which the devil is bringing your way.

Just like it takes physical strength to confront someone who’s trying to attack you physically, the same way you need enough spiritual stamina to face the devil and his agents who constantly try to attack us spiritually; so as to steal our faith, joy, happiness, confidence, and so on. I pray; may the Holy Spirit rearrange your life and time for a glorious transformation. In Jesus name!

Today’s Corporate Prayer: Every carefully planned attack of the enemy against my life, be foiled! In the mighty name of Jesus!
