“According as his divine power had given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness through the knowledge of him that had called us to glory and virtue” 2 Peter 1: 3.
It’s very surprising that until now a good number of people are still confused, worried and wondering why God has not blessed them. Some even assume that God has not been answering their prayers. Whereas God has been blessing them, but they have not realized it because they are yet to activate their blessings. Perhaps, they are clueless about how to activate their blessings.
Undoubtedly, many are ignorant of the fact that all of God’s blessings and riches depends and functions through the perfect understanding of Christ’s true knowledge in us and our practical obedience to God’s Word. Hence, this brings me to the question of what the eight greatest important needs of man in life are.

- Health
- Woman
- Money
- Shelter
- Clothing
- Child bearing
- Power
The above are the eight things that govern the entire life of man on earth. These are the eight things that make a man reign in life. The absence of them can ruin the life of a man. Now let’s see their individual functions in the life of a man.
1. GOD
God is life! GOD IS IN EVERYTHING THAT IS GOOD AND PERFECT. However, some have a contrary view about this. But I would have you know God is not everything that God is more than good, More than perfect and more than super perfect. Man, at the time of creation was God’s crown creature, he was good and perfect.
But he is not God. The angels in their eternal creations were also good and perfect. But they are not God. And all the work of God’s creations were good and perfect. But they are not God because they were created.
Without a doubt, the knowledge of God brings life. And that life is Jesus who is God’s manifestation into Flesh and Man. And whosoever comes to God by Him shall receive the inheritance of life and God’s eternal blessings that follow those who believe in Him.
“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world and received up into glory” 1 Timothy 3: 16.
This is why the gospel was given to us so that through the gospel our spiritual eyes would be opened to see God. And that those who would long and delight to see Him would, through the eyes of faith.
“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that had this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure” 1 John 3: 2 – 3.
Our natural eyes may not see God now, but by faith we can see him, for faith is the eyes that can see God and live, without dying. And this is that true faith which is in the only Begotten of the FATHER. Therefore, to have this life of God which is in Christ, you must know Jesus.
No man on earth can come to God, except by Christ. And there is no human, that can know God without first knowing His Son Jesus Christ.To know God is to know Jesus. And to know Jesus is to reject, shun, hate and keep away from all appearances of evil (sin).
Instead, cleave unto that which is pure and good. And to do this, is to have the full knowledge of Christ. This knowledge is not what you would find in no other other place than in the Gospel of Christ. It’s only in the gospel of Christ that the knowledge of truth and life in God is found and obtained. This is the victory that overcomes the world.
Hence, it is by this that all who come to God through Christ by faith woul receive the forgiveness of sin, mercy and justification for salvation. That’s why Abraham was justified by faith even when the law was not yet given, because he believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
And by the mercy of God after Moses had seen the back part of God, and God’s demonstration to the men of Israel the magnanimity of His love and favour towards them, He gave them the law. So that the law would serve as a light to guide them.
And their eyes of faith to walk and see God through the law and their obedience to it. Not as it was seen by Moses, but by their obedience and faith in the law. This is the reason when Philip asked the Lord to show them the Father. The Lord asked him, how long has He been with them and they have not seen Him?
He that has seen Him has seen the Father. For the Father is in Him and Him in the Father. From that very time, they knew that salvation is of Christ and that, by faith. More so, that is why the Scriptures says that without faith it is impossible to please God. The word “please” is an action word, which means see or walk.
Let’s look at these two agents and players of salvation: Holiness and Purity to see if they are saying the same thing in word conveyance and delivery message with Faith, or not!
A. “Without faith it is impossible to please God” Hebrews 11:6. This is just simply saying that without faith it is not possible to WALK WITH God. Without faith it’s not possible to SEE God. And without faith it is not possible to SERVE God.
“By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God” Hebrews 11: 5.
Meaning that Enoch walked in faith with God, did His will and served Him with a perfect heart that he was taken.
B. “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” Matthew 5: 8. For they shall SEE God means also here that, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall WALK with God. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall DWELL with God. And blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall SERVE AND BE WITH GOD.
“Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me, he that walks in a perfect way, he shall serve me” Psalms 101: 6
C. “Follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord” Hebrews 12:14. It’s also saying; without holiness no man can WALK with God! Without holiness no man can SERVE God. Without holiness no man can SEE and DWELL with God. And without holiness no nan can PARTAKE in the DIVINE NATURE AND LIFE OF GOD.
“For the Lord thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee, therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee” Deuteronomy 23: 14.
“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation” Hebrews 9: 28. Psalms 101: 6.
Evidently, you can see that these three scriptures on faith, purity and holiness are saying the same thing. But different in job operation, timing and function. In their operational time, faith comes before others. No man can attain the purity of mind and heart without the exercise of faith first. And no one can live a life of holiness in Christ without the manifestation of faith first. Faith initiates the move for a walk with God, which works by accepting and believing God’s word.
Purity of heart is to approach and serve God acceptably without blemish, wrinkle and rebuke. The effectual working of this is by love and forgiveness of other people’s sins and our love for God and our fellow human beings. And holiness is to dwell in the secret place of the Most high and partake in the divine nature of His life. This also works by our practical and total obedience and submission to the Word of God.
“He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” Psalms 91: 1.
“And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled” 2 Corinthians 10: 6.
Thus, the knowledge of God is the fulcrum and foundation upon which every good thing of life begins, grow, function and prospers. And how it can be achieved is by believing and accepting Jesus into our lives. Not subscribing to evil, but following after truth, godliness and righteousness and alll other things shall be an addition.
“But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” Matthew 6: 33.
2. HEALTH
Good health is a blessing. Whosoever has it must be grateful and thankful to God. Health is second to none other blessings of God in life. Above every good thought and desire of God for man, apart from salvation, health is the next thing God desires for all human beings He created.
“Above all things I wish that you live in health even as your soul prosper” 3 John verse two.
This is because He never created sickness for man. Sickness came as a result of the inherited sin from Adam through his disobedience of God’s word. From that time the devil, sin and sickness started working and locking horns against man. But it wasn’t so from the genesis of human creation.
Man was created to live a perfect life of health from the beginning and origin of life. And this is one of the reasons Jesus came to the world so as to restore man’s eternal life of health so that man would be eternally healthy and alive again like the other lesser creatures and our angelic brothers.
For us to enjoy any of the blessings of God in life we need health. For us to rejoice over the sweetness and sweat of our money and labours, we need to be in good health. To enjoy the beautiful wife, husband and the good children God gave us, we need to be healthy.
To wake up sound in the morning, attend to all our domestic duties and other external responsibilities of our lives requires good health. And to go out, visit people, travel, go to Church and return to eat the good delicious food prepared for us in the home requires health.
But if we lack good health, we can’t enjoy any of these God has blessed us with. That’s why health is at the second top of the chart of man’s important greatest need in life after God. Therefore, if we want to enjoy these blessings of God and life, we must pray always and ask God for good health.
3. WOMAN
Woman is another great important blessing and need of man in life. No woman, no man! Without woman man is not complete! For no man on earth is complete without a woman. Woman is the integral part of man’s life. The completeness of man is a woman.
Therefore, man cannot live, exist and survive in this mortal world without woman. Woman plays a very major important vital role in the existence, survival and sustenance of man’s life on earth. God is aware of this, that was why woman was the first gift of God to man. And God’s oldest Institution and Foundation of Marriage on Earth.
Man is the image of God. Woman is the image of man, and a fellow companion/ mate in child bearing/ raising, in home building/family management and in load sharing. Woman is the feminine man, the wife of man and the rib of man which the Bible calls weaker vessel.
Adam, the first man to behold and feel the love, beauty and sweetness of woman called her WOMAN meaning, Wife Of Man. M.A.N. Man means, Manager of Another Nature.
WOMAN means, Wife Of Manager of Another Nature – Woman. A.D.A.M. Adam means, A Dawn of Another Manager. But I don’t want to go into theology now. Hence, woman is very important in all ramifications of man’s life. That’s why every man needs his own, one man to one wife.They are more precious than silver and gold and sweeter and valuable than money.
Money is the creation of man, but woman is the creation of God. So woman comes first before money. Nonetheless, if you get blessed with money before woman it’s all good. But don’t wait until you become rich before you get married.
You may not know if that lucky woman is the vessel God would use to open the doors of your breakthrough and blessings in life. Some women are door openers, blessing connectors and favour carriers. If they come into your life, your life changes and starts moving forward and prospering. This is why you don’t despise the potential capacity of blessings God deposited in them.
Woman is very good in life.
They are like manna from heaven. As the children of Israel ate manna in the wilderness they never knew how it was prepared and cooked. They only went to gather them and ate to their satisfaction. That’s how woman is. They are man’s food. The food God Himself prepared for man to enjoy. They don’t expire. They don’t get distasteful. And there is no preservatives in them. They are just natural like in their essence of life and nature from creation.
That is what really just proved the truth of that Scripture, that God has given unto us all things pertaining to life and godliness. So go in search of your own now! They are part of the great blessings God has decorated man with that would make man happy, rejoice and reign on earth till he returns to God.
“And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called woman” Genesis 2: 23.
“Live joyfully with the wife whom thou loves all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he had given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takes under the sun” Ecclesiastes 9: 9.
4. MONEY
Money is one of the important things a man needs in life. Money is good! Money is sweet! Money is powerful! Money is enjoyable. Money is a force. But too much love of it is evil. And too much thought of it is the root cause of all evil. But life is frustrating without it. And bitter, if you don’t have it.
No matter the anointing you exhibit, if you don’t have it, anointing turns to annoyance. Without money, life is a problem. Money is the power and prestige of a man. Money is a wonder. Money is a promoter. Money is strong. Money is indispensable.
Money is a catalyst. Money is universal. Money is a legal tender for exchange of goods and services that we can’t do without.
Money is one of the economic forces and power that rules and controls the world through commerce, economic trade market, science and technology, infrastructural development, personnel and manpower training, land and mine exploration, telecommunication and energy, goods exportation and importation of arms and medical equipments, industrial machines, agricultural products, computer hardwares, food and s drinks, textile materials, etc. All these are done with money.
Certainly, money is one of the most important things that is required to carryout any business operation. It is the only thing that is used a medium of exchange for goods and services even in the house of God. Though money is not the creation of God, yet He commanded us to receive, use and bring it into His house for the running of the business and work of His sanctuary so that there may be food in His house.
That’s why every kingdom and nation of the world have their own local currencies and the names they call it. In Nigeria they call it ‘Ego, Owo, Kudi’. In France, they call it Argent. In Germany, they call it Geld. In Italy, they call it Denaro. In Portuguese, it’s called Dinheiro. In Spanish, it is called Dinero. In Mexico, the Mexicans call it Pasta. In Venezuela, it is called Lana. And in El Salvador, they call it plata.
In this life everyone may not have the gift of riches, but every man is entitled and required to have money, at least to feed and take care of his family, train his children, pay bills, build house, have a car to go about his business, help the needy and also give for the work of God.
For he that is not able to feed his family is worse than an infidel. That is why the Bible says that money answers all things. This is because money is a defense. Money is a ruler. Money controls and rules the world.
But you don’t get it through a wrong way. You don’t have to steal, cheat, break the law, rob, or do anything fetish to get it. Only work hard for it and in your obedience to God’s word, you will have it. The Lord will surely help you and enable you to get it without stress and sorrow in Jesus name, amen! So go for it now , it’s part of your blessings from the Lord God Almighty.
